About computer Memory

Memory is a storage device to save the information in the application of modern information technology. Its concept is gotten extensively, and it shows different in levels. In the digital system, it calls Memory as long as it can save binary data.

In integrated circuit, a circuit which containing the storage function without a physical form can be also called Memory, such as RAM and FIFO. In the operation system, a storage device comes with a physical memory is called Memory such as memory bank and TF card.

All the information on the computer is saved in Memory, including the input of original data, computer programs, intermediate operating results and eventually run results. The memory deposits and takes out the information bases on the pointed location of controller. The computer comes with memory function with the Memory and leads to work normally.

Functionally, computer Memory can be divided into RAM and CRT. CRT usually comes with magnetic media or CD which can save the information for a long time. RAM refers to the storage unit of main board, it is used to store the current data and programs which are being executed. But it is only used to store programs and data temporally. The data will be lost if powering off or out-aging.
