Microsoft finally decided to end its
Zune digital music service. Zune service was launched in 2006 and was aimed at
competing with popular iPod and iTunes then.
It is a pity that its experience seems
to be out-of- date even though Zune service provided some excellent services in
comparison with other similar products. It failed to attract more subscribers
like other streaming music services.
Zune requires on-board storage space and is
able to provide plug and play media player. To apply such feature, it requires
users to log in the accounts in relate to DRM.
Because of Microsoft converted its music
service mode, that is, it has Groove Music app built-in in Windows 10, leading
to the end of Zune service.
The good news is users can still
transfer MP3 files to other devices via Zune bundled software even though Zune
music is no longer to play related subscription DRM content.
Since Zune service ended, you can uninstall it from your computer to free up some space.
