According to an investigation sponsored by Facebook, the worldwide internet users reached 3.2 billion by the end of 2015. It indicated that there are still 4.1 billion people have no access to internet around the world.
On last Sunday, Facebook continuously reported the second "State of Connectivity" report. The internet users increased by 200 million due to the cheaper price of broadband and increase of global income.
The report mentioned that a great amount of people need help to access to internet and develop economy with proper chances. It said:" most of developed population have access to internet, while the developing countries are hard to access to internet."
The urban districts are in good conditions to access the internet, while the remote districts are not. The fewer opportunities to develop economy and less chance to access to internet in remote districts. In many developing countries, females have fewer chances to use internet than males. Even though all the worldwide population live in the places with necessary basic facilities, there are still 1 billion people could not access to internet due to the education background.
It is a big challenge to solve the internet access issue. It involves in the resolutions in many aspects. It requires more investments on this issue.
The report suggested that there will be over 3 billion people could not access to internet either by the end of 2020 based on the current increase rate. This population will mainly concentrate upon the developing countries.
